Mansion House Lounge

Relax in the comfort of our elegantly appointed lounge where you can enjoy the peaceful and informal atmosphere whilst appreciating the breathtaking views of Scarborough’s South Bay. Daily newspapers and a wide range of magazines, books and games are also available from the small library. Wireless Broadband is available free of charge. We are licensed to sell alcohol and an ‘Honesty Bar’ is provided in the lounge for guests requiring a late drink.

Mansion House Bedrooms

A wide range of accommodation is available. All bedrooms are en-suite and have been completely refurbished, a number also have sea-views. Well behaved children are always welcome; we have family rooms, which can accommodate three, four or five people, not including travel costs. All rooms have both Flat Screen digital TV with (Free view) and DVD players, Digital Radio, Free Wireless Broadband, Hairdryer, Binoculars (Sea View Only), Refreshment Trays and an Information Folder. All Family and Premier rooms have use of mini bars. Sea View Premier rooms are our most luxurious rooms these are, individually finely furnished with superb sea views. Ironing facilities are available upon request and valuables may be deposited in the electronic safe.

Mansion House Breakfast/Dining

The Victorian Breakfast Room has a lovely ambience. Traditional, Vegetarian and Continental breakfasts are served, along with pastries, toast, fruit, yogurt, juices, tea and coffee all served with a smile.

Disability Discrimination Act 2004

Being a nearly 200 year old property understandably there is no lift available; there are four steps up to the front door (A ramp is available) and sixteen steps down to the dining room. We now have available two ground floor bedrooms, one Double room and one Family room (5 persons); furthermore, the Mansion House Scarborough possesses the following equipment to assist guests.

DDA Personal Crescendo Listening kit for TV and radio reception.

Portable Telephone Amplifier and Time Flashing Alarm Clock and Vibrating Pad.

Pager Receiver with Vibrating Pad for both Fire and Smoke Alarms.

TV with subtitles and Photocopier available to enlarge any documents.

Handrail on all stairs and small portable ramp for wheelchairs and pushchair's.

DDA Folder available also Fire and Emergency Procedures, Menu and guest information folders and local maps all in enlarged print.

A familiarisation tour may also be conducted on arrival.
